Terms of Service
Short version: RideLens is a decision-support tool. It grades offers to help you make faster decisions — it does not guarantee earnings or outcomes. Use it at your own discretion and in compliance with Uber's and Lyft's Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using RideLens ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
RideLens is an Android application that uses the Accessibility Service API and on-device OCR to read rideshare offer cards from Uber Driver and Lyft Driver apps and display a real-time grade (GREEN, YELLOW, RED) based on gross earnings per hour relative to user-defined thresholds.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use as a rideshare driver. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App
- Use the App to automate actions on rideshare platforms in violation of their Terms of Service
4. Rideshare Platform Compliance
RideLens is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber Technologies, Inc. or Lyft, Inc.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of RideLens complies with the Terms of Service of Uber, Lyft, and any other rideshare platform you use. The Auto-Action feature (available in the "full" flavor) which can automatically accept or decline offers may conflict with platform terms. Use of auto-action features is entirely at your own risk.
5. No Earnings Guarantee
RideLens provides grading based on a mathematical formula (gross $/hr = fare ÷ total minutes × 60) and user-defined thresholds. This is informational only. We make no representations or warranties that:
- Any graded offer will result in the expected earnings
- Following the grades will increase your income
- The OCR reading will always be accurate
Trip durations, traffic, and earnings can vary. Always use your own judgment.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOST EARNINGS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
8. Accessibility Service Permission
By granting the Accessibility Service permission, you acknowledge that the App will read text displayed in Uber Driver and Lyft Driver applications. You consent to this reading for the sole purpose of offer grading. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Manipulate or defraud rideshare platforms
- Interfere with other drivers or passengers
10. Updates and Changes
We reserve the right to update or discontinue the App at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.
